As the weather grows warmer and the days become longer, I can feel my excitement for an upcoming trip bubbling up inside me. This summer, I have decided to visit a place that has always fascinated me—Shanghai. Known as one of China’s most vibrant cities, it combines modernity with tradition in ways that make it truly unique.
My journey will begin on July 15th. First, I plan to explore the famous Bund, where I’ll take in the breathtaking views of the city skyline reflected on the Huangpu River. Walking along this historic area will give me a chance to admire old colonial buildings alongside contemporary architecture. Afterward, I intend to head over to Yu Garden, which is filled with intricate pavilions, ponds, and stone carvings. It’s said to be one of the best-preserved classical gardens in Shanghai.
On the second day, I want to delve deeper into the city’s cultural side by visiting museums like the Shanghai Museum or the Power Station of Art. These institutions showcase everything from ancient artifacts to cutting-edge contemporary art pieces. For lunch, I’m looking forward to savoring some authentic local cuisine such as xiaolongbao (soup dumplings) at Nanxiang Steamed Bun Shop.
In the evening, I hope to experience the bustling nightlife of Xintiandi—a trendy district packed with bars, cafes, and restaurants. Perhaps I’ll even catch a live performance at one of its many venues. The following morning, I’ll relax by taking a boat ride along Suzhou Creek before heading back home refreshed and inspired.
This trip not only promises fun but also serves as a reminder of how much beauty exists right here in our own country. Whether through its stunning landscapes or rich history, traveling offers countless opportunities for growth and discovery. I am eager to document my experiences through photos and journal entries so that I may relive these moments later.
With every step planned out meticulously, I know this adventure awaits me full of surprises and learning opportunities. And who knows? Maybe after returning from Shanghai, I’ll start dreaming about another destination somewhere far away!
